Ceballos replies to Setién: "I'm happy"
Quique Setién spoke about Dani Ceballos and used him as an example of how moving to Real Madrid at a young age is not always the correct decision.
Dani Ceballos did not waste time in responding to Quique Setién's statements about his state of mind since moving to Real Madrid. The Real Betis manager said the midfielder looks sad and that moving to play at the Santiago Bernabéu is not always the correct decision for young players.
"I'm happy," said Ceballos via his Instagram account shortly after Setién had made the comments in his press conference. He played in the Copa del Rey victory over Leganés last night at the Butarqe but was withdrawn before Asensio scored the game's only goal and was largely uninspired during his time on the pitch.
Setién said, "Sometimes, you make decisions when you are 21 that are not correct. I am watching a case similar to Ceballos, who had the thrill of Real Madrid and now we see his face and he is sad. Forget about the safe money, what you like is to play and to grow. We have all made that mistake, surely." That came in relation to Fabián Ruiz, another up-and-coming midfielder in Real Betis' side being linked with a move to los Blancos.
