Pazzini straight into Levante squad but no Al-Muwallad
Juan Ramón López Muñiz has named his new Italian striker for the game against Real Madrid but there will be no debut for the "Saudi Messi" this weekend.
Levante coach Juan Ramón López Muñiz has named his squad to host Real Madrid on Saturday night in the Ciutat de Valencia and has included one of his winter signings, Italian striker Giampaulo Pazzini, who joined on loan from Hellas Verona on deadline day.
Pazzini is the only one of Levante’s seven January signings to make the squad, which means Frogs fans will have to wait to catch a glimpse of a player dubbed the “Saudi Leo Messi,” Fahad Al-Muwallad, who joined the Liga outfit from Saudi side Al-Ittihad in a draft of Green Falcons players to make moves to Spain ahead of the World Cup in Russia.
Muñiz is without suspended pair Chema Rodríguez and José Campaña and has left out Toño García, Al-Muwallad, Iván Villar, Rubén Rochina and Armando Sadiku.
Levante squad to host Real Madrid:
Oier, Koke, Róber Pier, Coke, Postigo, Cabaco, Pedro López, Luna, Doukouré, Lerma, Bardhi, Morales, Ivi, Lukic, Jason, Roger, Pazzini, Boateng.
