The Madrid squad convened at Valdebebas for their final training session before the visit of Alavés to the Bernabéu on Saturday afternoon.
With Asensio unlikely to feature, Zinedine Zidane may turn to the attacking trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema.
Kroos and Modric eye PSG return
Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Luca Zidane, and Jesús Vallejo also missed the session due to injury. Kroos and Modric are focussing on a return in time for the second leg of the Champions League last-16 tie against PSG.
Zidane split his squad in to two even groups at Valdebebas, which is his usual routine. Tejero and Quezada came in from Castilla to make up the numbers.
