Griezmann gets booked, misses Depor, back for Real Madrid
The Atlético Madrid striker was shown a yellow card for a foul on Roberto Soriano and will be suspended for the match against the team from Galicia.
Antoine Griezmann won't run the risk of being suspended for the Madrid derby against Real Madrid, after he picked up a yellow card in this afternoon's LaLiga match against Villarreal, meaning he'll miss the game against Depor on 1 April and be back for the Real Madrid game with his disciplinary record wiped clean.
Griezmann booked after 14 minutes
Griezmann brought Roberto Soriano down in the 14th minute of the game against Villarreal and referee Fernández Borbolán had no doubts about showing him the second yellow of the game.
Griezmann scored Atleti's goal from the penalty spot.
Vitolo sent off
Vitolo will miss both the Depor game and the Real Madrid game after being sent off at the end of the Villarreal match for violent conduct, as Atlético slumped to defeat at the end. Thomas and Savic are also one card away from suspension.
