Varane: "Cristiano and Ramos are the most careful with their image"
The French and Real Madrid defender gave an interview to Men's Health and discussed Real Madrid's season as well as who look after themselves most in the dressing room.
Raphael Varane has granted an interview to Men's Health in which he takes stock of the situation at Real Madrid this season.
Analysis of the season: "In the league, it has been a more complicated season than the year before but in the Champions League, we keep moving forward, and are in thequarter-finals. I think there are games this season where we played well but didn't win, but the league is long and you need consistency. Last year we had games where we didn't play well but we ended up with three points and this season it has been the opposite. We lost games at the end of they drew level. But the team continues with confidence, with strength, and we know that there is quality and experience in the group and we have faith that we will win titles this season and continue to believe in our strengths."
The game against PSG: "Returning to France is special for me, obviously. But I was focused on the game, well concentrated to do as well as I could. I knew the impact of the game in my country and the expectation of PSG. But I was more concentrated on the game and even more with it being a special context, you need to be focused on your objectives."
Routine: "First, you arrive at training, prepare for the session, I get treatment from th physios and go straight to the gym to activate the body. Depending on the day's training intensity, we stretch, work on mobility, everything to prepare myself well. Later, we train, and depending on the day we do more physical work, more technical or more tactical. The duration also varies between 45 minutes and an hour and a half."
Who looks after their image most in the dressing room: "Cristiano Ronaldo is very careful, Sergio Ramos too. I look after myself too, we all do. But the most I see are Cristiano and Sergio."
