The 41-year-old Turkish match official will oversee a Real Madrid game for the ninth time in his career. Daniele Orsat has been designated to oversee the Sevilla-Bayern tie.

UEFA have designated Cüneyt Çakir as the match official for Tuesday's Champions League quarter final first leg in Turin with Italian official Daniele Orsato assigned to officiate the other tie of the evening as Sevilla welcome Bayern Múnich to their Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán ground.

Çakir is set to oversee his ninth game involving Real Madrid and "Los Blancos" have just lost on two occasions with the Turkish referee, this season against Tottenham Hotspur in Wembley and in last year's semi-final at the Calderon where they fell 2-1 on the night but progressed to the Cardiff final.

Daniele Orsat to referee Sevilla-Bayern

Orsato last oversaw Sevilla last season as they exited the competition against Premier League side Leicester City in a game where the Italian ordered both Sami Nasri and then coach Sampaoli from the pitch and dugout respectively.
