Gabi on protests over club badge: "You have to listen to the fans"
Gabi admits that catching Barcelona is difficult and that the Madrid derby on Sunday is a massive game in their season and also spoke about the club badge.
Gabi spoke to the media after Atlético Madrid's win over Depor on Sunday night and said that too many changes too quickly alienates fans.
When asked about the changing of the badge, which the fans protested against on Sunday, he said: "I understand it based on the fact that there have been many changes all at once and in the end the people don't identify with anything. You have to listen to the fans and support. Between everyone, they can arrive at an agreement to be happy at the club of our lives."
He also says that the goal of the team is to "keep looking up" and that to stay in second place is more difficult than being champion. "The game on Sunday (Madrid derby) is key to keep second place," Gabi says.
