Tuchel agreement with PSG - reports in Germany
According to reports in his homeland, Thomas Tuchel has already made a commitment to take over from Unai Emery in the French capital this summer.
Apparently German coach Thomas Tuchel has convinced the directors of Paris Saint-Germain that he is the man to take over the reins at the club from this summer. This is according to reports coming out of Germany on Monday.
Tuchel for PSG reported
Allegri, Conte and Luis Enrique were all being linked with the post but news coming from German website Sportbuzzer states that the former Borussia Dortmund coach has already reached an agreement with PSG. Last week, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge discarded the 44-year-old Bavarian from the running for the vacant Bayern Munich dugout and announced that he already had an agreement with another club.
The contract is said to be for two years, taking him to 2020, and this came as interest appeared to be gathering from Premier League side Arsenal, another team potentially having a void to fill. Their manager Arsene Wenger is another name that was being tauted as a possible replacement for Emery, especially given his French nationality.
Tuchel has been out of work since leaving Borussia Dortmund last season. Things didn't work out the way it was hoped with the yellow and blacks, however, after building a fine Mainz team in the Bundesliga, many still see Tuchel as a manager destined for the top. The target is clear at the Parisian club: win the Champions League.
