Real Madrid-Juve: Sergio Ramos avoids ban for being pitchside
Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueño says Uefa have informed the Champions League holders no action will be taken against Ramos.
Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos has escaped action for watching Wednesday's Champions League clash with Juventus from the entrance to the players' tunnel.
It was thought that Ramos, who was serving a one-match ban in the quarter-final second leg at the Bernabéu, could face additional punishment as, according to Uefa regulations, suspended players are not allowed to be at "pitch level".
Uefa say they won't take action, reveals Butragueño
However, Real Madrid director Emilio Butragueño confirmed on Friday that European football's governing body has told the tournament holders they "see no reason to open disciplinary proceedings [against Ramos]".
Iusport and Cope had earlier reported that Uefa felt Ramos did not breach any rules as he did not actually leave the tunnel at any point of the game, which saw Real claim a 4-3 aggregate win courtesy of Cristiano Ronaldo's last-gasp penalty.
Uefa rules do not unequivocally forbid banned players from being in the dressing rooms or tunnel area.
Ramos free to play in first leg against Bayern
The 32-year-old defender therefore avoids a further game being added to his suspension, and will be available for the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals, in which Real Madrid have been drawn against Bayern Munich.
