Xavi to start coaching course in Madrid for UEFA A and B licenses

On Monday in Las Rozas, a group of former players that meet specific criteria such as playing professionally for ten years or playing with their international team will begin training to become coaches. Amongst the players are Victor Valdes, Raúl, Marcos Senna, Xabi Alonso along with former Barcelona man, Xavi Hernandez.

Xavi will not be there, however, as the midfielder will be in Tehran to play the Champions League game against Persepolis. A win or draw will see his side quality at the top of their group. They have already qualified for the knock-out stages of the competition.

The 38-year-old plans to go back to Doha straight after the game to be in Madrid on Tuesday morning where he will start his life as a manager in training.

One of the main problems is that Xavi is still not finished his playing career in Qatar and will have to travel back and forth between Madrid and Doha in order to attend the course where he will recieve his A and B licenses to he can coach Al Sadd next season.
