European giants Arsenal, Atlético Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain will face each other at the Singapore National Stadium for the 2018 edition of the International Champions Cup (ICC).

The Cup organizers, Relevent and Catalyst Media Group (CMG), announced on Tuesday that the ICC will take on a new global format, featuring a largest number of clubs, matches and venues to date.

This year’s edition will feature 18 top-tier clubs playing 27 matches across the United States, Europe and Singapore.

ICC returns to Singapore

Fans in Singapore will witness some of the world’s best teams competing with each other this July.

The announcement of the ICC returning to the Asian country was made in presence of legends from each of the visiting teams – Robert Pirès of Arsenal, José Luis Caminero of Atlético Madrid and Maxwell Scherrer of PSG.

CMG chairman Patrick Murohy said: ‘The support we witnessed in Singapore ... last year was phenomenal, and we are excited to return to the National Stadium as this year’s only Asian stop in a revamped global tournament format.’

Atlético Madrid will take on Arsenal on 26 July. The London side will then take on PSG on July 28 before the Ligue 1 champions face Atlético on 30 July.

Ticket sales begin at 10am on 30 April via the Sports Hub website and Sports Hub offices.
