Real Madrid returned to work in their training base of Valdebebas on Thursday, just hours after their 1-2 victory over Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals.

Leganés with eye on Bayern visit

Zinedine Zidane's team, who returned at dawn from the Bavarian capital, began their preparations for Saturday's game against Leganés which they'll play in front of their own fans at the Santiago Bernabéu. No doubt the French coach's mind will be on next Tuesday's second leg when he welcomes Jupp Heynckes' team as they look to hold onto their lead and reach a third consecutuve final.

As is normal practice, those players that started in the Allianz Arena and played most minutes had a recovery session inside the facilities, although several of them then headed out onto the field to continue their work.

Bale and Benzema with reserves

Those who did not take part, or didn't get much pitch time, in the previous night's win, including Frenchman Karim Benzema and Welshman Gareth Bale, completed a session alongside Castilla player Víctor Campuzano and the Juvenil A goalkeeper Darío.

Gareth Bale played no part in Munich.

Nacho Fernández, as reported by the club, continued with his own recovery process, working alone on the field, while they are still waiting to hear the extent of the injuries to Dani Carvajal and Isco Alarcón, both of whom were taken off injured against the German champions.
