Sergio Ramos jokes back to Gündogan about Zinchenko fail
The Ukranian youngster at Manchester City dropped the Premier League trophy amid the celebrations and Real Madrid's captain was quick to join in the fun.
During Manchester City's celebrations of their recently won Premier League title in front of their own fans, there was a trophy slip up that engaged social media fun including Real Madrid's captain, Sergio Ramos, whose memory of such things didn't completely fail him.
Trophy-drop syndrone trending
The Ukranian player signed by Pep Guardiola, Oleksandr Zinchenko, let go of the silverware while jumping around launching it to the ground. His teammates stood shocked as it lay there on the turf and this image was quickly hitting the forums and being shared on social media sites. One interaction happened later, on Twitter, instigated by City's Ilkay Gündogan. He posted a photo of the moment along with the question: "Does anyone knows a place that repairs trophies? Asking for a friend."
A message from Sergio Ramos' official account followed: "I may know a few places, but I haven't called since 2011..." adding "Letting the trophy fall is becoming a trend..."
This reply relates to the time the Real Madrid captain himself dropped the Copa del Rey trophy during the club's open-top bus celebrations around the Spanish capital. That time, landing from a height onto the street, actually caused real damage to the cup. Think yourself lucky Zinchenko!
