Ramos is first player to miss and score a penalty with an own goal in same game
The former Sevilla defender was in the thick of things on Wednesday night and created a new record with the wrong kind of hart-trick in the second half.
Sergio Ramos had an event-filled evening on Wednesday night on his return to his former club. Real Madrd were beaten 3-2 and there was some questionable defending for all three of the goals they conceded. They did mount a late comeback but it had no affect on the overall feeling of the game, or the result.
The Real Madrid captain was involved in the last goal Sevilla scored, as he knocked the ball passed Kiko Casilla from Gabriel Mercado's cross. A missed penalty prior to that and a successfully converted penalty after meant Ramos became the first player in the Primera to ever land such a hat-trick - a missed penalty, scored penalty and an own goal in the same game.
Ramos' previous returns to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan have rarely gone well and the fans often mock their former player while showing love for other previously departed players.
