Rodrigo Rodrigues: Real Madrid complete signing of starlet

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Brazilian starlet Rodrigo Rodrigues, with the 18-year-old to play for the LaLiga club's 'B' team, Castilla, next season.
"It's a dream to be able to pull on the shirt of the biggest club in the world," said the forward, who moves to Madrid on a six-year deal from Gremio Novorizontino.
"I'm sure that I'm in the best place possible to develop as a player. I hope I can give the fans plenty to shout about and help the side win trophies."
Rodrigues' Real move confirmed by Novorizontino chief last year
In September, Novorizontino president Genilson da Rocha Santos confirmed to Diario AS that the youngster had travelled to the Spanish capital for a medical with Real, and would join Los Blancos after turning 18.
Rodrigues caught the eye of Real scouts in August after scoring five goals in five games in an international under-17 tournament while on loan at Palmeiras.
Rodrigues "one of the most talented players of his generation"
"Rodrigo is one of the most talented players of his generation in world football, and [at Real] he'll be in a set-up where he will be able to kick on even more as a footballer," said Edu Schimidt, one of Rodrigues' representatives.
"He's a complete attacker, who can play out wide or in the middle," Da Rocha Santos told AS, meanwhile. "He's quick out of the blocks, explosive, and has evolved a lot since he started here at Novorizontino when he was 14 years old."
In 2017, Rodrigues made his professional debut aged just 16 in a Campeonato Paulista clash between Novorizontino and Santos.
