Much work to do for South Korea in a short time
The lack of accuracy in attack and a fragile three-men defense, along with a motivated Bosnian side, ruined South Korea’s hope for a win in their final match on home soil.
According to South Korean news agency Yonhap, head coach Shin Tae-yong had said the Bosnia-Herzegovina friendly would be a good test for them to check their game plan against Sweden, their first opponents at the World Cup.
The Asians started with a 3-5-2 formation, making eight changes from their starting eleven at the 2-0 victory against Honduras on Monday.
The visitors, who will not be competing at Russia 2018, took early control of the match, consistently attacking South Korea’s three-men defense.
Winger Edin Visca gave Bosnia a 28th minute lead, however, the home side responded just two minutes later, as Lee Jae-sung evaded the opposition defenders to chip the ball into the net.

Late in the first half, Visca made a diagonal run and received a fine through ball from Besic, punishing South Korea with a second goal.
After the break, Tae-yong’s side struggled to make an impact, failing to complete an effective attack on the visitor’s half.
Turkey-based Visca completed his hat trick in the 79th minute sublimely volleying a left-wing cross into the net.

After this defeat, South Korea now heads to a training camp in Austria. Two more warm-up games against Bolivia and Senegal are scheduled.
For the World Cup, the East Asians have been drawn with Mexico, Germany and Sweden in Group F, starting against Sweden on 18 June.
This will be South Korea’s ninth appearance at a World Cup.
