Sergio Ramos spoke to the press after Spain's tight 1-0 win over Iran on Wednesday evening to put them top of Group B.

The World Cup: "In the World Cup it's about the results. It was never going to be easy".

Queiroz's comments on Salah's injury: "I'm not going to discuss his comments. It's not for me to say. We'd like to win another way, but it's the result that counts".

Referee: "I'm not going to give my personal opinion on the referees. He gave them a lot of leeway and seemed to blow up on everything we did. You have to keep a cool head".

Iran: "When they conceded they had to react. Now they have to beat Portugal. We're happy with the win".

Aspects to improve: "In everything. You can always improve in every department. Every game is different and you approach each one differently. Defensively, take your chances more, shoot more from outside the box, be more effective...".

Maradona: "I respect Maradona because he's one of the game's greats. In my opinion he was a genius, but I'd also add that in Argentinian football everyone knows that Maradona is light years behind the number-one, which is Messi".
