Abidal on Eden Hazard: "You'll have to ask the player"
The French sporting director said Barcelona didn't need many changes and kept a conservative approach to Eden Hazard and Adrien Rabiot.
Eric Abidal did not announce anything new on Adrien Rabiot despite information of a meeting between the technical secretary of Barcelona and Pep Segura with the Paris Saint Germain player. There could be a deal close according to reports from France with the player reportedly considering a five-year offer.
Abidal is keen to push a conservative approach and said, "We are working internally and we will only announce it when the player is ours. You can many things but you have to do the work with discretion and analyse the team we have. We have a competitive side that has just won a double and I don't know if you have to change many things."
He was also mum on Eden Hazard and when asked if the Belgian could be a Barcelona player, he replied, "you'll have to asked the player."
Abidal would not speak about the rumours of an illegal liver transplant and Jordi Mestre confirmed that the signing of Arthur was "a request by the technical staff and has not cost anything extra" when it was confirmed he would be playing at the Camp Nou despite previously being set to join the club in January.
