Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a big-money offer for Chelsea's Eden Hazard as they look to bring in a new superstar in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure for Juventus.

Real Madrid said to be ready to table 170m-euro offer

In recent weeks, Hazard has emerged as one of Real's chief summer targets, and it is being claimed in the UK media that the European champions are ready to bid 170 million euros for the Belgium captain.

The attacker, who is yet to agree an extension to a Blues contract that has two more years to run, said before the World Cup that he was waiting to see if the Premier League club bring in "good players" before committing to fresh terms.

And although he has said that he is "happy" at Stamford Bridge, Hazard has repeatedly refused to shy away from links with Real, telling an interview with L'Équipe during the tournament in Russia: "Real Madrid could interest me. If they want to buy me, they know what they have to do."

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old also declared this week that playing for Los Blancos is "everyone's dream", and spoke of the club's "special" white shirt.
