Gianni Infantino, president of world football's governing body, Fifa, spoke to Mediaset following the 2018 World Cup Final, which saw France beat Croatia 4-2. The Swiss-Italian came away from the tournament very pleased, including the performance of the Video Assistant Referee system that was introduced for the first time in a major international event.

On the organisation of the 2018 World Cup: "I am not objective, but for me it was the best World Cup of all time."
