Vinicius' formative years where spent in the schoolboy setup at CR Flamengo, where he joined in 2010, and began as a defender. "Vinicius' father looked for us when he was five years old. At that time, he already performed well above children of his age. He was always a calm and quiet boy, he never gave problems, but he was always above average," recalls Cacau, a teacher at the School of São Gonçalo.
