Rico, Vietto join Fulham on loan on busy deadline day for club

Moves for Sergio Rico and Luciano Vietto on season-long loans from LaLiga were among several deadline-day deals done by the Cottagers.

Fulham have signed Spanish goalkeeper Sergio Rico on a season-long loan from Sevilla on a busy transfer deadline day for the West Londoners.

The 24-year-old academy graduate has made 170 appearances for Sevilla during his career, and has also been capped once by the national teamHe was an integral part of the Sevilla squad for four seasons and won the Europa League twice before losing his position as first choice keeper last season.

"Sergio joins a very talented cast of goalkeepers under contract at FFC, and he answers our mandate of making our squad the strongest and deepest it can be as we face top Premier League opposition," Fulham's director of football operations Tony Khan said in a statement.

Rico could feature in Slavisa Jokanovic's squad when they host Crystal Palace in their opening league match on Saturday.

Vietto follows Rico from LaLiga in late Fulham flurry

Fulham also confirmed the signing of left-back Joe Bryan from Bristol City on a four-year contract, with an option to extend by a further year, then announced the capture of 24-year-old forward Luciano Vietto from Atlético Madrid on a season-long loan after the transfer window closed.

The Cottagers then also revealed deals for Manchester United defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah, who has joined on loan until the end of 2018/19, and Cameroonian midfielder André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who signs from Marseille for an undisclosed fee, penning a five-year contract.
