Sandro Ramírez on the brink of Real Sociedad move
The current Everton and former Barcelona striker looks like he could be set for a return to LaLiga having failed to impress at Everton last year.
Sandro Ramírez could be closing in on a move to Real Sociedad according to reports in Spain. The Spanish striker has suffered a poor spell in England and spent last season on loan for six months at Sevilla but he was a player out of confidence and barely made an impact with zero goals in 18 appearances.
Radio Estadio report that a deal is done for the player, who will play on loan for the year under Asier Garitano. La Real have played two and have earned four points to start their league campaign. They have recruited well in the summer with a loan deal for Theo Hernandez from Real Madrid and the signing of Mikel Merino from Newcastle. They could also be ready to bring in Jesus Vallejo from Real Madrid with Diego Llorente being ruled out for three months with an injury at the weekend.
Everton were busy this summer signing players from the north of Spain with Andre Gomes, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne all moving from Barcelona. They are also working to clean up their squad of players bought under the previous manager with Davy Klaassen, Ramiro Funes Mori and Wayne Rooney moving on and it looks like Sandro will be next.
Sandro left Barcelona for Malaga scoring 16 goals two seasons ago before being signed up by Everton despite interested from Atletico Madrid. He is still just 23 years of age and it is unclear what kind of deal it is that will take him to San Sebastian, with a loan with option to buy transfer mentioned, but a new environment might help his development into the player he looked to be during his spell at Malaga.
