Barcelona and Atlético take to Twitter to complain over The Best nominations
Atlético Madrid shared an explicit message on Twitter and Barcelona defended Lionel Messi as the best after noinations for The Best award were announced.
After the nominations were announced for The Best award, there was some surprise. Antoine Griezmann, who won the World Cup and with that alone should be considered, didn't even make it to the podium. Within the Atlético player's inner circle, they can't understand and at the club too. They responded with a tweet and a picture of the French attacker along with the three trophies he helped them win this year along with a simple message: 'Speechless'.
Griezmann was the best player in the Europa League according to UEFA, he won the man of the match in the final and he also won the man of the match in the World Cup final and scored a goal too to go with his impressive performance at the tournament.
Lionel Messi, who was world class throughout the year with Barcelona, has a defender on Twitter too. His club responded with a message saying "There are no doubts for Barça fans. He is the best. Period" and they added a photo of the Argentine star.
