Bale went off injured at half-time against Atlético Madrid
The Welshman appeared to leave the pitch after the first 45 without any problems, but didn’t come out after the break.
Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale was his side’s most active player in the first half of the Madrid derby, and came close on a couple of occasions to opening the scoring. However, the Welshman didn’t come out after the break, being substituted at half-time for Dani Ceballos.
Bale suffers groin strain
While Bale had apparently left the pitch without any problems, he ended up being forced to miss the second half having suffered a groin strain. Despite having suffered repeated injures during his entire time in the Spanish capital, the Welshman had been on an injury-free run, having avoided any problems so far this season. That period came to an end half-way through the Madrid derby.
