Griezmann to sport Uruguay inspired boots for France friendly
The French striker posted a picture of the special boots that will be worn as France face Uruguay at Stade de France.
Antoine Griezmann will wear special commissioned one-off boots at the Stade de France in Paris tonight as France face Uruguay in a friendly game.
The French striker is a well known admirer of the Latin American country and is close friends with Atleti Uruguayan squad members Diego Godín and Jose Maria Giménez. When Griezmann scored against Uruguay during the Russia 2018 World Cup he failed to celebrate the goal as a mark of respect for the "charrúa" and the Atleti striker even confessed to having the flag of Uruguay as his Whatsapp profile picture.
The Puma manufactured boots are decorated with two mate containers and the flags of both France and Uruguay along with the initials AG and the number seven.
