Ada Hegerberg won the first ever Women's Ballon d'Or award at the ceremony in Paris on Monday night but had to respond to French DJ, Martin Solveig's, insulting question after collecting the historic prize.

Having accepted the award, Solveig asked the Norweigan Champions League winner with Lyon if she "knew how to twerk" to which the footballer responded that she didn't but the awkwardness was palpable.

The DJ has since taken to Twitter and apologised for the question and he says he didn't mean to offend anyone while also blaming his poor English despite asking the question in French.
