The Spanish coach effectively quashed all of the rumours that have been doing the rounds over the past few weeks, linking numerous players to City. Ahead of the midweek win against Hoffenheim in the Champions League, when asked about City's reported interest in Atlético de Madrid midfielder Saúl Ñíguez, Guardiola announced that City have no plans to sign the player and added that some of the transfer mill gossip even concerned players he has no knowledge of.
