Marco Asensio was missing for the European Champions - awaiting news on the severity of the injury he picked up in the semi-final - as the starting XI against Kashima went through a recovery session. The remainder of the squad worked together on ball management, pressing, and shooting practice. The mini-game to complete the training was observed by Michel Salgado.
Mariano was the other exception from the travelling group as he worked on his own to regain full fitness, hopeful to work his way into Solari's plans.
