Two transfer deals in as many hours for Sevilla, who earlier this evening announced the signing of Austrian centre-back Maximilian Wöber then shortly after that, confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Barcelona for Munir El Haddadi. Munir, already had an agreement with the Andalucians to join as a free agent when his contract runs out in June. But Ernesto Valverde told the player that he wouldn't be featuring in his plans and both clubs reached an agreement to bring the operation forward a few months, with Munir joining this month for a fee of around one million euros.

Frozen out at Barcelona

After completing a more than acceptable season on loan at Alavés last year, scoring 14 goals in 37 games, Munir has found chances of first team action few and far between on his return to Barcelona, the club where he came thropugh the youth system after signing from Rayo Majadahonda in 2011, when he was still only 15. He's racked up just 392 minutes playing time this season across three competitions - LaLiga, Champions League and Copa del Rey, and scored two goals.

Sevilla bring the 23-year-old into one of LaLiga's most prolific frontlines which features Ben Yedder (16 goals) and André Silva (10 goals). After loaning Muriel out to Fiorentina, Munir will be an alternative option for Pablo Machín in attack.
