Neymar's father denies reported contact with Barcelona
The PSG player's father and agent shared a screenshot of the report which appeared in El Mundo, which he captioned "fake news".
Neymar's father has responded to a newspiece which appeared in the national media today, placing his son back at Barcelona, and claiming that it was the player's agent who had initiated contact directly with Josep Maria Bartomeu, advising the Barça president to make a concerted effort to see the operation go through. He has branded the reports as "fake news" on his Instagram account.
Big mistake
The information which appeared in today's edition of El Mundo, was reported by AS at the end of December, including quotes from Neymar's father to members of the Barça board, in which he confessed that the Brazilian star "made a mistake by signing for PSG" and was "upset and deeply regretful" for the decision he took.
Neymar's dad didn't pick apart the El Mundo report but simply classified it as "fake news" and "insane news". He did so twice - once in a simple screenshot; then in a montage with the left-hand side featuring the information published alongside a picture of a child laughing uncontrollably.
