Vinicius: Bathroom photos reveal new romance
Vinicius is reportedly dating Instagram star Maria Júlia Mazali, as the pair unwittingly shared separate photographs of themselves in the Real Madrid player's bathroom.
Real Madrid’s teenage star Vinicius gave a personal interview back December in which he categorically denied having a girlfriend: “No, no, nobody. I am in the prime of my life,” was the 18-year-old’s response.
However, the young footballer seems to have found himself a romantic companion in Maria Júlia Mazali, a 23-year-old blogger who became famous in her native Brazil after appearing in the reality TV show De férias com o ex (On vacation with the ex).
Their supposed romance has been revealed by the well-known Brazilian newspaper Lance after the two unwittingly shared separate photographs of themselves in the same bathroom in Vinicius’ Madrid home, as seen below.
Vinicius romance: other clues to their relationship
According to Lance, Vinicius and Mazali are a now a couple and had already given other clues about their relationship on Instagram by exchanging 'likes' and comments – among them a heart emoticon left by the Madrid striker under one of Mazali’s posts.
Neither of them has so far made any public statement about the relationship as it seems they want to keep it out of the media spotlight. Of course, that will be very difficult to now following the release of the Lance story.
Mazali currently has 446,000 followers on Instagram but that figure could grow significantly now that she has been romantically linked with the young Madrid star.
Vinicius recovering well from injury
Meanwhile, Vinicius is continuing with his recovery from an ankle injury sustained in February that was initially expected to keep him out until May.
AS has learned however that the rehabilitation process is going better than expected and he is now set to return to action for new coach Zinedine Zidane towards the end of April.
Before nis injury sustained early on in the 4-1 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League in February, Vinicius had been one of the stand-out performers in an otherwise bleak period under sacked coach Santiago Solari. During his first season in Madrid he has played 28 games, providing three goals and 12 assists.
