Liverpool comebacks that should have Barça concerned
Under Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool are capable of ripping opponents to shreds quickly and at Anfield they have some form of magic on their side.
They say that Bill Shankly was convinced that the goalmouth closest to the Kop in Anfield was capable of magical things and that the passions that was behind the goals was able to push balls wide and deflect them away from the back of the net to aid Liverpool.
It's logical that Liverpool and the club's fans believe in miracle seeing as most of them witness Istanbul in 2005. They were 3-0 down at half-time against AC Milan and somehow came back to the win the Champions League final that night. And so, it's logical that they believe they have a chance to eliminate Barcelona on Tuesday night despite losing 3-0 at Camp Nou last week. With Jurgen Klopp at the helm, they have been capable of the kind of result that would see them through to the final for the second consecutive year.
Taking a look at Liverpool's comebacks under Klopp
We took a look back at Klopp's first season in charge, Liverpool finished third in their group and went into the Europa League where they met Borussia Dortmund in the quarter-final. After the first leg finished 1-1, Liverpool fell behind 1-3 at Anfield but between the 66th and 91st minutes, Sakho, Coutinho and Lovren won the game for them 4-3 to see them qualify for the next round.
Last season, they hammered Spartak Moscow 7-0 with a hat-trick from Coutinho helping them to feast, which helped them finish top of their group with a plus 17 goal difference. And then in the quarter-final, they scored three on City before the 32nd minute to pretty much end that tie as they marched to the final.
In the semi-final against Roma, they did it again and had put five past them before they responded with two late consolations. Liverpool have a history of unthinkable comeback and under Klopp, they tend to score flurries of goals in big games. Barcelona have one foot in the final but they need to be wary of Liverpool's magic.
