Sebastian Giovinco made Toronto his home for three years while he played with 'The Reds,' a team he helped consolidate as one of the strongest franchises in the MLS.

During his first year with Toronto FC, Giovinco broke several league records, including the most combined goals and assists in a single season, besides helping 'The Reds' to qualify for the MLS Cup play-offs for the first time in the club's history. That year Giovinco won the MLS Golden Boot, and the MLS Newcomer of the Year and 2015 season MVP awards.

However, things changed this winter. Despite having a successful career with the Canadian MLS team, the Italian forward didn't reach an agreement with Toronto's management, leading him to leave for Saudi Arabia's soccer league.

Giovinco remains fond of the city, and during his first free time, a 15-day break from the Saudi league, the Italian went back to Canada to support NBA side Toronto Raptors in a game that saw them qualify for the finals, where they will go up against the Golden State Warriors. Al Hilal and Giovinco's next match will be on 5 June against Al Ahli.

Giovinco with Al Hilal

Since Giovinco arrived in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal, the striker has failed to establish himself as the benchmark of the club as expected since, with ten games played, he has four goals and one assist.
