Qatar's Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy have revealed that 265,000 volunteers have signed up to take part in World Cup 2022.

265,000 people have shown an interest in the program by the committee, which is responsible for projects and initiatives surrounding the World Cup with the goal to support continued preparation for this prestigious event.

This figure, without question, shows the desire to be involved in this exceptional event, which is the first of its kind to be held in the Arab world.

"It's important to use that volunteers, along with people from Qatar, participate in the preparations for the World Cup," says the Director of the Department for Social Communications, Miaad Al Amady. "To be part of the initial phase is important to have a general overview of the event, which will take place in three and a half years."

"Volunteers play an essential role in helping us to offer a fun experience to fans at the World Cup," he continued.

Commenting on the participation of more than a thousand volunteers from Qatar and the surrounding region in the organisation of the Prince Cup 2019, he added: "The vounteers played a massive role in the inauguration of the stadium."

"We appreciate all of the volunteers who have shown enthusiasm and commitment and we hope that the volunteers keep playing this role in the events left to organise."

Also worth mentioning is that before the inauguration of Al Janoub, the Committee organized training courses for volunteers, which was seen as a major factor in the success of the event, and helped them carry out their roles.
