Real Madrid's turn as Eriksen and Hazard have done their parts
The two players have done their part in asking for moves away but Real Madrid are faced with two tough situations as Chelsea and Tottenham are hard negotiators.
The ball is in Real Madrid's court with the signing of Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen. In every potential transfer, Real Madrid ask the players in question to state publicly that they want to leave in an effort to put pressure on the selling team. First the Belgian admitted "this could be goodbye" after he guided Chelsea to a Europa League victory and now Eriksen has says he wants to "try something new".
Eriksen has chosen the Danish press as his outlet to force Madrid to make a move but with a caveat. He says if nothing happens he will have to "sit down and negotiate another contract with Tottenham." The message was clear; he will not wait forever, knowing that Zidane is fixated on Paul Pogba.

The two players have positioned themselves for exits but Real Madrid are faced with two tough situations. At Chelsea, they are playing hardball despite José Ángel Sánchez' trip to London to negotiate a price. In England, there is talk of a 'breakdown' in negotiations when a deal looked imminent. With Tottenham, it's just as complicated. Daniel Levy, the man who runs Spurs, "bites" according to Pochettino.
Real Madrid have experience of this when negotiating for Luka Modric and Gareth Bale in the past. The two English clubs know, however, that the players will leave for free in 2020. They do, however, want to send a message that they are not selling clubs.
