10 days after Liverpool win UCL, 2019-20 competition is underway
With Reds fans still basking in the glory of the Madrid win at the Metropolitano stadium, the draw has taken place for the first UCL 19/20 games.

No sooner has the dust settled after Liverpool claimed a sixth European Cup triumph beating Spurs in Madrid, that the first draw process for the 2019-20 competition has been conducted by UEFA.

It's highly, highly unlikely that come the 2020 Istanbul final, the names of Kosovan side Feronikeli, Gibraltar's Lincoln Red Imps, San Marino champions Tre Penne or Andorran FC Santa Coloma are in contention to claim the title, but today all four clubs made their own bit of Champions League history being the first four sides to participate in the 2019-20 UEFA Champions League preliminary round.
Rival confirmed! ✅
