The start of the Gold Cup gets closer by the minute, and the US men's national team moved to Minnesota on Wednesday for the final preparation ahead of the summer tournament after two disappointing losses in their warm-up games against Jamaica and Venezuela.

However, the mood at training camp is good as goalkeeper Zack Steffen mentioned, before saying both defeats, in the end, help his side in time for the competition.

"We can really see what we need to work on, there were some positive things, and obviously some negative things. So we're all excited that we had a good couple days off and we can mentally get out of it, come back together, and now be on the same page physically, mentally to get back to work."

The now Manchester City goalkeeper, analyzed what happened during the international friendlies the USMNT had last week explaining there might not have been enough talk between them during the games.

"With these international games, you always have to be on anticipating the play and communicating and staying connected and covering and helping each other out, and we didn't do that."

The United States team will face Guyana in its game opener on Tuesday, June 18th, and Steffen feels confident they will be ready for the match.
