Atlanta United is king over Los Angles FC and LA Galaxy
Atlanta United is the third CONCACAF team with more interaction in social media, excelling teams like Los Angeles Galaxy or LAFC.
The use of social networks plays an essential role in recent years, especially in sports, which makes them pay particular attention to their accounts around their interactions and number of followers.
Sports and Finance Sport Management carried out a study that evaluated the Instagram interactions CONCACAF teams had during May, where some MLS teams stand out, surpassing the so-called top teams in Mexican Soccer.
The study highlights the dominance of Club America in Mexico as in the United States with a total of 4.64 million interactions, followed by Tigres which sum a total of 3.19 million, but the big surprise comes with Atlanta United.
The current MLS champions sit third in the list with a total of 1.57 million above top Liga MX clubs like Cruz Azul, Chivas or Pumas, being the only US league team that exceed one million interaction in Instagram, but they're not alone as LAFC, Los Angeles Galaxy and Seattle Sounders also appeared on the list.
Los Angeles FC is the second MLS team with more interaction surpassing cross-town rival for a little over 100 thousand interactions as Carlos Vela had 895K while LA Galaxy even with Zlatan Ibrahimovic in their squad, totaled 778K.
The new competition between both Liga MX and MLS was announced recently; however, most of the teams to be at the new tournament didn't appear in the list. The missing clubs are Chicago Fire, Houston Dynamo, Real Salt Lake and Tijuana.
