Nicolás Lodeiro will have a very special entry in the Uruguayan national team's record books, with the Seattle Sounders man scoring his country's 400th Copa América goal - the opener against Ecuador on Sunday night.

Uruguay are the third side to hit the 400 goal mark in the tournament.

The former Boca Juniors and Ajax player controlled brilliantly from a Suárez pass, taking several touches on the volley from outside the box before burying in the bottom corner after six minutes.

By the end of the first half Uruguay had moved onto 402 goals in total, thanks to strikes from Edinson Cavani and Luis Suárez. They stand behind only Argentina (455) and Brazil (408) on the all time goals scored charts.
