Daniel Alves has rejuvenated his career. At the ripe old age of 36, the right-back was recently chosen as Copa America’s player of the tournament, after he captained Brazil to their first title in 12 years.

It was the 40th trophy of his career and he seems to have no plans on slowing down. The ex-Barcelona defender wants to continue playing at the highest level in Europe, with the aim of reaching the World Cup in Qatar 2022 still holding the captain’s armband.

And after a decent final season at PSG, where he played on the wing in coach Thomas Tuchel’s system, and Copa America success, Alves has returned to Europe to listen to offers from two clubs.

The Brazil captain heads a list of high-profile free agents that are arousing great interest in Europe.

Cahill has hinted at a return to his origins at Aston Villa, the club where he made his debut as a professional at 19 that is set to return to the Premier League next season after gaining promotion from the Championship.
