Spain's Tax Office could stand in the way of Neymar making a return to Barcelona.

Neymar's unpaid tax

According to Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish tax authorities, after analysing the four fiscal years the Brazilian spent as a resident in Spain between 2013 and 2017 and his move to PSG, claim the Brazilian owes 35 million euros in unpaid tax

Declaring income in Spain

Mundo Deportivo also wrote on Sunday how another Spanish newspaper, El Mundo, had published a story in March of this year on the tax authorities requesting the player's income from PSG, particularly after he had resided in Barcelona for 183 days in 2017 and, therefore, had to declare all income in Spain. The authorities also requested every document from the case at Barcelona's Social Court 15, which handled the dispute between Barça and Neymar over debts claimed from the Brazilian's departure from the club.
