Ramos: "Hazard and Bale helped out defensively"

The Real Madrid captain spoke to the media after the game and said the help from Hazard and Bale on the wings made life difficult for Sevilla on Sunday night.

After the victory over Sevilla, Sergio Ramos spoke to Movistar and analysed the match, where they won it and how they now need to be calm ahead of an important week.

Satisfied: "We knew how difficult the game would be, in one of the most complicated stadiums in the league. We hadn't won in years here, we came with a very strong mentality to commit as few mistakes as possible. It was very controlled, defensively we played in a very compact block. While they had possession, we stepped out well. It's a fair result. Now is the moment to be calm a week after a lot was said."

Attitude: "Madrid always have that hunger and the desire to win. Things don't always work out like we've worked on them but we are a positive team and we will keep going with this mentality to keep working and improving. We will try to go further and now, a little bit of calm, because it's a long season and we are drawing with Athletic Club if I'm not wrong. We will go three points at a time."

Zidane and the lack of intensity: "I don't know if it's that exactly but when you speak of intensity, you're talking about the little details, the individuals battles...the team came with desire tonight to take three points."

Whistling by the fans: "I think it's something that many tried to change but some people just don't understand. I don't want it to be news every time I leave here. With the passing of time, it will change. If I offended somebody at some stage I apologise but I never did anything to offend."

Solid defensively: "We were very well organised. Sevilla play with two wings and a lot of depth. We know how to stop that well. Eden and Gareth helped defensively. With this, we have made it difficult for them to find spaces. We have to keep going on this line because it's very long."

400 victories with Madrid: "It's a statistic but the little individual details make me proud too. Who would have said it when I was a kid. I hope I can keep winning many more."
