Iraq and Bahrain will square off for a place in the 2019 Gulf Cup final in the Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha on 5 December with Saudi Arabia or host nation Qatar awaiting the winner in the showpiece on 8 December in the Khalifa International Stadium.
Iraq negotiated the group stage with little fuss, finishing top ahead of Qatar and conceding only once in three games. Bahrain, meanwhile, qualified by dint of goal difference after a late brace from Thiago Augusto against Kuwait ensured the Pearl Divers pipped Oman to second place on goal difference.
