Italian Super Cup, Cristiano's first defeat in 15 finals
The last time the Portuguese striker was on the losing side was back in 2014 when his then Real Madrid side lost the Spanish Super Sup to Atlético Madrid.
Cristiano Ronaldo was on the losing side in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on Sunday as his Juventus side fell to Lazio in the Italian Super Cup (1-3). The Portuguese missed out on the chance to bag his first silverware with the Turin based outfit and tasted a cup loss for the first time in fifteen matches.
Cristiano's impressive cup run commenced in 2014 with Real Madrid seeing off FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey final and lasted through to the inaugural UEFA Nations League final in Porto with Club World Cup and Champions League games some of the major finals in-between.
The last time the Madeira born striker tasted cup defeat was back in 2014 in the Spanish Super Cup when his Real Madrid side fell 1-2 to city rivals Atlético Madrid and since that loss, it's been back-to-back wins for the Portuguese forward since then.
