Diego Pablo Simeone said his Atlético Madrid side had Jan Oblak to thank for ensuring they took maximum points from Saturday's game against Levante. The coach also expressed disappointment that his team didn't capitalise on the 10 clear chances they created at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Victory number 9: "It was a complete performance and we had enough chances to put the game beyond Levante right up until the final whistle. We had 10 chances but we weren't clinical enough. In the dying minutes Oblak pulled out a great save and that saved us. We could have sewn up the game if we had put away the chances we created. As I say, 10 chances which didn't end up in the back of the net so thank God Oblak came to our rescue. That's why he's first choice".

Oblak saves the day with wonder save

Oblak's save: "For us, he's the best keeper in the world. He's one of our captains and today, he stepped up at the most important moment of the match. He pulled out another save, with his left hand on 70 minutes but the one right at the end was the type of save which lets you win games. Today, he helped us resolve a game which we really should have settled much sooner".

João Félix flagging: "You need to ask him about that. He seemed fully intergrated to us, and full of confidence. He's a different player to what we normally have here and every time he gets the ball there is a sense of danger. We need to get the ball to him more and he needs to find the spaces where he can find solutions for the team. He had one chance in the first half, two in the second half and three where he arrived just too late. We feel he's on the right track".

Poor finishing: "We have to be a bit more rough and ready in front of goal. Football is about being direct, forceful - and if you lack that, you'll be closer to losing".
