Arsenal transfer news: Valencia want to sign Dani Ceballos

Ceballos knows that he is slipping out of Luis Enrique's plans for the Euros if he stays in the Premier League and Celades is keen to bring him to Valencia.

Update:
Arsenal transfer news: Valencia want to sign Dani Ceballos

Valencia manager, Albert Celades, is keeping an eye on Dani Cabellos. El Larguero reported on Wenesday night that the player wants to leave Arsenal during the January transfer market and Valencia, who have a manager that knows the midfielder's qualities perfectly, want the player to come to the Mestalla. Arsenal, AS understand, are not overly keen on opening the door for the player but he has not been in Mikel Arteta's plans since November. He was injured but has been held out for the last four games by Arteta.

Arsenal invested a lot in getting Ceballos to the club and the club's idea is that he stays there until the end of the season. With time running out on the winter transfer market, Ceballos knows that he is slipping out of Luis Enrique's plans for the Euros in the summer if he stays in London.

Valencia are heading into the last few days of the transfer market with lots happening. They are looking for a right-back but that pales in comparison to the fall-out if Rodrigo Moreno was to leave. Barcelona are looking at the striker. Valencia asked for €60 million for him in the summer when Atlético Madrid came knocking. He is not the only striker who could leave with Kevin Gameiro linked with his former club, PSG.

They are interested in Paco Alcácer. The striker wants to leave Borussia Dortmund where he has been pushed down the pecking order. Peter Lim's plan, as published by AS, was to try and bring the player to the club in January if Gameiro leaves. But he is also an option if Rodrigo leaves.

Ceballos was coached by Celades during his time as the Spanish coach and during his time assisting Julen Lopetegui at Real Madrid. Ceballos would offer Celades a bright and talented player in midfield to partner Dani Parejo, who could help with keeping the ball and creating chances along with his arrival in the penalty area to finish them.

The player would have to drop his salary to join Valencia on loan for the rest of the season, which is what they want. He is being paid more in London than what he signed with Real Madrid for but he could be a game-changing midfielder for Celades, who could play a 4-3-3 with Rodrigo as the floating attacking midfielder with Ceballos behind him in his favoured role.
