Next Lakers game expected to serve as 'unofficial' Kobe tribute

The death of basketball and LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has prompted and unprecedented demand for tickets for the next game at the Staples Centre.

The world of sport continues to mourn the death of Kobe Bryant with many fans angry that Sunday night's round of NBA games were not cancelled as a mark of respect.

As yet, the LA Lakers franchise have yet to make an official statement on the passing of one of the game's icons and a Lakers hero from 1996 when he made his debut in the famous yellow vest.

The Lakers return to the court on Tuesday facing city rivals LA Clippers at the Staples Centre with a (04:00 CET start on Wednesday 29 / 19:00 local time on Tuesday evening). 

Many fans are anticipating that the game will serve as an unofficial tribute to Kobe's life and the second hand ticket market has experienced a surge with many not wanting to miss out on what is anticipated to be a highly charged and emotional evening.
