Florentino Pérez has a big problem, says Rummenigge
Bayern Munich's chairman spoke about the current transfer market and used Real Madrid as an example about how power and success isn't always enough.
Bayern Munich's chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge shared his thoughts about the current transfer market and used Real Madrid as an example about how power and success isn't always enough.
“Florentino, who I know well, has a problem – the Premier League," Rummenigge began. "He is the president of the most powerful and successful club in the world – a club with great pulling power who can attract star players. But his problem is that clubs in the Premier League earn three times as much in terms of revenue through television rights in their domestic market compared to Spain, Germany and France, and that gives the Premier League a bid advantage when it comes to signing players. The English have done things properly and well, you have to admit it”.
