Barcelona new man Braithwaite returns to Madrid

Having just signed with Barcelona last month from Madrid-based outfit, Leganés, Martin Braithwaite is back living in the Spanish capital due to the coronavirus crisis in Spain.

Following Italy, Spain became the second country in Europe to enforce lock down measures in a bid to slow the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

Danish striker Braithwaite, whom Barcelona were authorised to sign as a replacement for Ousmane Dembélé outside of the transfer window in February, had been living in a hotel while he looked for permanent accommodation in the Catalan capital.

Braithwaite keeps training up at Madrid home

However, since he still had not found a home by the time the lock down measures came into force last Saturday, the 28-year-old forward has returned to Madrid, where he will keep residence until the situation somewhat returns to normal.

The former Leganés striker kept his house in the Spanish capital following his move to Barcelona and has posted several videos of himself keeping up his training routine at home.

Braithwaite played three games for Barcelona before lock down

Before the suspension of LaLiga, Braithwaite had played three games for Barça, with two cameo appearances off the bench and one start in their last game, the 1-0 win against Real Sociedad. He is yet to register a goal or assist for his new club.

Like the rest of the clubs in LaLiga, Barcelona have suspended training during the coronavirus crisis in Spain, which has so far 14,769 cases and 638 deaths.
